Introduction: One widely disseminated approach to estimating the risk of mortality in burn patients is based on the presence or absence of 3 risk factors: age > 60 years, percentage of total body surface area (%TBSA) burn > 40% and presence of inhalation injury (Ryan CM, Schoenfeld DA, Thorpe WP, et al.
